Registration now open to ISWSS and Wadden Sea Day
Practitioners, scientists, policy-makers, conservation managers and non-governmental organisations are now invited to register for the International Scientific Wadden Sea Symposium and the Wadden Sea Day.
The 16th International Scientific Wadden Sea Symposium (ISWSS) will take place from Tuesday, 28 October, to Thursday, 30 October 2025, in Groningen, Netherlands. The event will bring together up to 200 scientists from Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands to discuss key scientific topics related to the UNESCO Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. Capacity of the event is limited. Early registration is strongly advised.
The 2025 Wadden Sea Day aims to offer new scientific insights on these intertwined relationships between the Wadden Sea and the hinterland. The contributions will highlight ideas on how to complement Wadden Sea conservation and management, and contribute to protecting the transboundary Wadden Sea World Heritage Site even more effectively in the future. Registration is open until 15 August.
